Many of you have asked about purchasing the film, and you can now do so by following this link http://samerivertwice.com/ .
By purchasing the DVD through the website, you increase the chances that the film may one day break even! The support you and other viewers have given the film has been crucial every step of the way. The warm reception at Sundance and other festivals, as well as the early strong response in theatres, is what enabled us to release the film in over 80 cities around the country.
In addition to an excellent transfer and a Q and A session that I did at the Harvard Film Archives, the DVD features an audio commentary that runs throughout the film. This provides an opportunity to experience the film with the director's personal reflections on the main characters and the critical problems and choices in making the film.

Because of its then-and-now presentation of choices made and paths taken, many viewers have written that they saw the film in the context of college, high school, and family reunions. If you end up using the DVD as part of a reunion experience, I'd appreciate if you would send me an email as we may create an area of the website focused on people's experiences doing this.
In the near future, I will also be releasing RIVERDOGS, the film from which the “then” material was taken in THE SAME RIVER TWICE. RIVERDOGS has never been in distribution and will be exclusively available from the website. I'm also planning to release via the website another one of my films, THE TOURIST, a film that weaves material I shot in Africa, Asia, and Latin America , with the personal story of my wife and I wanting children.
Please visit the website http://samerivertwice.com/ , which we are now renovating and expanding. We'd appreciate any help you can give us spreading the word about THE SAME RIVER TWICE's availability on DVD from our website.
With many thanks for your support over these past few years…
